  • Upper valley haven

    Helping to create a community where people find hope and discover possibility

    With the support of the Upper Valley community, the Haven assists those who are experiencing poverty to be free from hunger, to be securely housed, and to pursue a self-directed life.

    Founded in 1980, the Haven provides food, temporary shelter, supportive housing, children’s after school and summer programs, community outreach, and problem solving support to those in need.

    The Haven is open 365 days per year and never charges for any of its services.

    We now serve over 14,500 people per year.

  • Open door mission

    Here at the Open Door Mission we believe no one should have to go a night being hungry or cold, especially the men and women who served our country. Since 1967 we have been providing meals, shelter, clothing, Internet/Computer access, and anything else we are able to our residents. A majority of our funding comes from either donations to our store or monetary donations from individuals like you.

    Transforming Lives

    We help people transform their lives with Whole Family services delivered through a unique and dynamic community framework of integrated programming.

  • Newstory center

    NewStory Center works to end the cycle of violence through support, education, prevention, and collaboration with all the people and communities of Rutland County.

  • Killington elementary school

    Killington Elementary School is a PK-6 grade public school located in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountain Range.

    At Killington Elementary School, it is our mission to provide a caring environment with a strong support system and high academic standards to successfully educate the whole child: socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.

  • The Dodge House

    Supplies transitional housing for Vetrans who are homeless and in need of food and shelter

  • Rutland United Way

    Focused on helping the homeless on health and education in the community

  • Sherburne United Church (aka The Little White Church)

    Fully supports a Food Bank for the local and surrounding communities
